Body Armour Zips
Body Armour Zips
Aaww body armour zips where do I begin... front zip keeps popping open and doesn't seem to remain as it should... am I getting too chubby for it or is there a solution to ensure the zip doesn't separate?

Re: Body Armour Zips
You have two options
Either replace the Zip
or
replace pasta with a leafy salad
coke classic to coke no sugar
beer to water
potatoes to green veg
full fat milk to lite
and sitting on the couch to going for a walk

I would have a handy (patient) person:
Sew a new zip under the old zip's fabric:
+solvent glue (tube-patching) maybe?
New-old zip ex-a sacrificial back-pack?
That extra 1cm may cater for a beer gut.

Edit: Mine-above is why AI is bonkers:

Re: Body Armour Zips
I have zips on jackets & the 1 on my hydration pack also gave up the ghost, search youtube & found a video on how to repair, you basically squeeze the piece that you pull tighter, it took me a couple of times but i did get it sorted & it has been good now for well over 1yr

I sense where you're coming from:
It's slit-flaps expanded to cog-off.
Bit of judicious crimping required:
I use 'Inox' as lube; it's food grade.
