Since giving up the smokes. Keeping busy has been a focus.
So yesterday went to Lysterfield mtb park with bones. For the afternoon.
Today took the husky out to dissa with my nephew and his mate.
Covered some good ground on both days.
Loving both ways of getting around some cool Trks.

Anyone else out "just riding" this weekend?

Hey Cruiser. Me and a few guys hit up Chewton yesterday (a DBT posted ride). It’s the full blown meat, gravy and a few token vegetables this time of year as it’s relatively dry and lots of interesting tracks. Yesterday we covered 60Km. Aside from the ride, there was a pre-ride grappa toast to our favourite Croatian rider and then post ride there was a platter of cheese, meats, salty snacks, bought wine, homemade wine, a house blended port and a few beers.

Despite the early morning cold, the day was fun in the sun

Did a last minute ride out to reefton hotel yesterday from Big Pats Creek.
Great day for it mainly because weather was perfect and it was a week day.
Clocked up 60ks. Slipping and sliding our way around. The Orange clay didn't disappoint with its ability to provide no grip when you need it most.
Kept company by a couple of others on here.
Was a most enjoyable ride.

Was great to get out Cruiser, albeit last minute.
Thanks so much for your local track expertise - was an excellent route!
(Even if the weir engineering proved that water can flow uphill where KTMs stuggle!)

Husky is in the shop. But didn't waste the good days we been having. Went out to Silvan mtb tracks this week.
Had a blast. Over 2 afternoons clocked up approx 45ks . Def a bit different to Lysterfield. Tracks resembled more of our cool trk we ride on the dirt bike.
Switch backs are tight tho. Jumps are scary.
Some pretty steep terrain.
Guess they would frown on me if I took the husky for a blap through there.
So was great to be able to hit the tracks with the next best thing. Got a couple of pix
Should of taken more. The mtb riders that I saw are hard core with what they ride at pace.

Well dirtriderz days killed the ride report! Couldn't say sh#t without getting some mod sending you an email making you feel like a dick!

That's only my opinion after a day out on the bike and and few beers at home to finish a perfect day had!

Got to ride yesterday, with a more 'experienced' group of gentlemen, think the average age was well over 50.

Was a blast, needed to drag a bunch of bikes over obstacles at uncle Jim's place, had long fast downhills, some serious hill climbs and a boulder river that would make anyone jealous.

The old 450 held its own against the smokers, but also had some other strokers join us

The trail fairies were hard at it on the local mtb track last week, so I was eager to go check out what was done today with short day friday's and before this rain that didn't come so all good I could play longer as I didn't have to race the rain home.
The section they worked on is much better and fast flowing and saw markings for other work on some of the other tracks, the place will be awesome once all the improvements are done!
