Big Pete's last minute Neerim
Big Pete's last minute Neerim
Thanks Pete for another Neerim ride was great to get out. Thanks to the guys that came along and Hoff for sweeping. Apart from a few uh oh moments and one stinky puddle it all went to plan. Cheers

Re: Big Pete's last minute Neerim
Yes thanks Pete and all. Great tracks as always.
(And yes, a surprising amount of traction in the muddy puddle saw my front end launch upwards much more than needed (!). Somehow broke a small tree next to me but it sort of helped the bike stay up and out of the way. Me on the other hand - slid straight down the seat and back first into the muck. I could feel a rush of water going down the waist of my pants, back of my legs and into my boots. I've had to clean things - and places - that shouldn't need cleaning!!)
I ended up heading off when you did Andy as my rear wheel bearing was properly wobbly. I knew it was on its way about 10hrs ago. Apparently today was the last straw. Maybe the puddle water got in there and finished it off!?
Thanks for the pics Andy.
Cheers

Cracking day - just what I needed after approx 8 weeks or so off the bike!
Pete's knowledge of neerim is spectacular - I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future rides he puts on!
Was a bit creepy having this weird old bloke in black tailing us all day but whoever/whatever he was he sure could ride ok!
Thanks gents - I look forward to the next one!

Bloody spewing I missed out on this one, oh well should be all good for the next one!.
Good ride report guys and looks like great weather for it.
Looks like someone needs to lay a bridge over that bog hole.

Thanks Pete. I had a fantastic day out, nice at the back relaxing while Pete lead us around, no stress just fun and banter. Dusty was a little scared the old guy at the back might run him over again!!! Until next time have fun all, and the Aussie Romanic's enjoy.

Was there any cheese and fine wine on offer after the ride?the northern guys have it all down packed with a great looking spread.

This ride was a bit last minute, but nibbles is on the cards. Will get better organised on the catering front eventually...
(Been meaning to stop by here too for a tasty IPA, though the psychology of getting out of the car once packed up is a limiting factor. www.fiveacesbrewing.com.au)
Re: Big Pete's last minute Neerim
Thanks guys for making it on such short notice, things fell into place and produced a ride that I thoroughly enjoyed. I discovered a few more tracks and was able to find that "missing link" that eluded me on the last ride. Thanks to that "old bloke" ....hang on.."I can't talk!"...who swept and helped me get unstuck more than once, even though we both ended up going backwards into the last bog hole as my bike suddenly broke free of the suction on the back wheel. Looking forward to the next one, thanks again to a great group of riders. Cheers, Pete.
